15 MORE Ways To Be A Great Leader
Back in Issue #57, I wrote “15 Ways To Be A Great Leader”. Well, turns out there are more than 15 😂, so here are 15 more things that I consider pretty central to leadership.
People closest to you should have the best experience of you. Often, the opposite happens.
Curiosity is a leadership superpower. “Tell me more” is one of the best questions I routinely ask.
Hold the door open for people, even if they don’t say thank you.
How you do one thing is how you do everything. Remember that, especially when you interview people. Don’t hire people thinking you’ll change them; you don’t have that kind of time.
When you have to deliver a hard message, ensure the other person still leaves with dignity. Focus on attacking problems, not people.
Be a person that is known for finding a way.
Do what you said you would do when you said you would do it. I guarantee that will give you an advantage over most people.
One of the most effective leadership weapons I know of is a good night’s sleep. (Bonus tip - if you want to sleep in, do it on the front side and go to bed an hour earlier)
Solitude is needed; isolation is dangerous.
Focus on managing your energy vs managing your time.
Schedule a day off on each side of your vacation.
If you are constantly the smartest person in the room, find new rooms.
Be someone who can learn from anybody.
You are at your best when you have margin. Schedule your life accordingly and don’t apologize.
Something I just learned - you’re probably only really, really great at 1-3 things. It’s okay to obsess over those.
Is Your Data Breached?
There was a major data breach at a company called "National Public Data" this week. The company conducts background checks on US residents. According to reports, hackers stole a significant amount of their data.
You can visit npd.pentester.com to check if your data has been compromised. If you find your name on the list, I recommend placing a freeze on your credit by calling each of the three main credit bureaus (it's a hassle, but it's worth it).

Simon Biles in Dice
Here I was using the dice I have for like, games and stuff 😂 This is a pretty amazing IG reel!
The Impossible Dream
Years ago, Casey Neistat was in a horrible motorcycle accident. He survived but was told by doctors that he would never run again... This video is an excellent example of setting a huge goal, failing a lot, and the mindset needed for each failure. (There is a couple spots of language in the video 😉)
Superman Goes to School
Seven-year-old Tom told his schoolmates that his uncle was Superman, but they didn't believe him and teased him. His mother then called her brother-in-law, who gladly agreed to take Tom to school. The next day, Henry Cavill, the real-life Superman, showed up, proving Tom right and delighting everyone.
Words to wrap up
“Do today what others won’t so you can do tomorrow what others can’t”
