❓ HUGE list of questions for your next 1:1 meetings
This list of questions is compiled from several sources to help give you ideas for your next 1 on 1 meetings. Whether your lead people and need a resource for yourself, or want to share this with your manager - this is a great resource. I’ve already found it very useful.
😎 50 Facts to bring sunshine to your day
Who doesn’t need a little more positivity in their day? These facts are great. The only in dispute is:
When your cat narrows their eyes at you it’s their way of letting you know they care about you and are happy to see you.
I have a pretty good idea this is false. When a cat does this, it’s getting ready to attack you. Because… well, it’s a cat.
📺 Sharing your Netflix password - what you need to know
I’m very curious to see what happens with Netflix in the next 5 years. This article states that it lost 200,000 subscribers last year. I am one of those people that remember how revolutionary getting DVDs in the mail was. With all the streaming services one can choose from now, time will tell what effect this will have on Netflix.
🎧 Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast
Craig is the Senior Pastor of Life.Church. This podcast is one that I continually listen to as it always provides solid leadership content, as well as practical application.
📕 Never Split the Difference, by Chris Voss
Quite simply, one of the 10 best business/leadership books I’ve read in the last 10 years. (I actually read it twice!) Voss is a former FBI negotiator and the book is full of interesting stories from his time at the FBI. In addition, it is FULL of applicable content. Yes, the material is based around negotiating but also some good counsel in here regarding how to listen effectively.
Words to wrap up:
“The difference between where you are and where you want to be might be the pain you’re unwilling to endure.” – Craig Groeschel
