Pressure Is A Privilege
(Note: I saw this online this week, and it was a good reminder for all of us.)
Pressure Is A Privilege.
It means things are expected of you, and that alone is a sign that you're playing at a level others only dream of.
You're not sitting on the sidelines watching life pass by; you're in the arena, where the stakes are high and the rewards even higher.
When pressure shows up, it's a reminder that you're trusted with responsibility, with opportunity, with the chance to show what you're made of.
Most people run from pressure because it exposes the gaps. But real leaders rise through it. They understand that pressure doesn't break you, it builds you. Every demand, every expectation, every heavy moment is just another rep in the gym of greatness.
Embrace it. Because if people expect something from you, it's because they know you're capable of delivering something powerful.
Apple’s iOS 26 Update Focuses on Phone Calls
I actually love this idea. With every technology company focusing on AI, Apple doubled down and focused on making the experience of phone calls better. A couple of notable updates:
Call screening - In iOS 26, when your phone receives a call from an unknown number, it will automatically answer the call without ringing. It will then wait for the caller to share their name and the reason for the call. Only after that will the phone ring. When it does, you will see the caller's name and the reason for their call displayed on your screen, allowing you to decide whether or not to answer. 😲
Hold assist - When you call a phone number and are placed on hold, your iPhone can stay on the line and wait for you, so you don’t have to do it manually. It will stop the hold music and allow you to continue using your device as usual, alerting you as soon as a live person is available to speak with you.
The article linked above shares more updates planned for the fall, but I think the two mentioned are game changers!
Values Bridge
I gave this website a try the other day when a reader recommended it. It’s actually pretty cool. Whether you know what you value and want to check it, or you need some help deciphering your values, this is worth checking out.
(NOTE: For further help, I also created a resource at the beginning of the year to help you establish your core values.)
“We Bought a Church”
A family in a small Ohio town purchased a former Methodist church built in 1919 for $75,000 while searching for office space for their new company. After two years of renovations, including a new roof and updated electrical systems, they now use the church as office space and for family gatherings. A standout feature is their dream library in the old balcony, complete with a six-neck guitar on the altar that surprises visitors.
Don't run back to old ways just because they're more comfortable or easier to access. Remember, you left certain habits and people for a reason: to better your life. You can't move forward with your life if you keep going back.
