5 Keys to Get Unstuck
We’ve all been there: those moments when you feel completely and utterly stuck. It’s super frustrating, but the good news is you don’t have to stay there. Here are five keys that help to get me unstuck.
Move: When you’re stuck, your mind may spin, but your body is often still. Get moving—literally. Exercise is fundamental for mental and physical health. As the saying goes, “The more you move, the more you improve.”
Connect: Put the phone away and have a meaningful conversation with someone face-to-face.
Unplug: 15 minutes, a day, a week - whatever it is, create moments when you're not inundated with buzzing notifications. As I’ve written before, some of my best ideas happen during a quiet walk or moment of reflection.
Accomplish: Complete a task, big or small, that gives you a sense of achievement and progress.
Learn: Expand your knowledge by watching a TED Talk, reading a book, or exploring a new subject that interests you.
BONUS! Combine a few items above: Change of pace + change of place = change of perspective!
See Who is Older and Younger than You
This article includes a slider that shows you how many Americans are older than you and how many are younger than you. Interesting!
The Dream Job for Gen Z
Speaking of age, I found this article pretty fascinating regarding what Gen Z thinks about as their dream job. I won’t spoil it for you, but there are some great stats and things to think about. I would be curious if our Gen Z readers agree/disagree.
Disney's 'Area 51' - Where Lightsabers are Invented
I really enjoyed this video that takes you behind the scenes at Disney to show you where and how some iconic things have been invented.
Words to wrap up
“When people talk about traveling to the past, they worry about radically changing the present by doing something small, but barely anyone in the present thinks that they can radically change the future by doing something small today.”
