Q1 2024 a wrap!
Yes, it’s true - we have already completed three months of 2024. That three months certainly went fast! I’ve spent the last several days thinking about these questions, so I thought I would include them here as well. Regarding the last three months:
What was your biggest win?
What was your biggest struggle?
Similarly, as you look to Q2 and the next three months:
What would you be excited to accomplish?
What is the biggest change you can make to your daily routine to aid in that?
Also, I wrote in Issue #25 about a useful tool called The Wheel of Life, which is very handy in determining what’s important to you so that you can consciously create your tomorrow :)
40 Good Interview Questions
This is a great list, highly recommended! Here are a few favorites of mine:
15. It's exactly one year from now. What impact have you made on our organization in the year since you joined?
19. When was the last time you changed your mind about something important?
25. What are you better at than most anyone else? What’s your superpower and how will you leverage that to make an impact at this company?
Teach me something.
Your work isn’t going anywhere
I ran across this on X this past week. Even though we don’t have kids, I really like the idea of creating a ‘massive memory’ for different seasons.
AirBnB Bookings During the Solar Eclipse
Newsweek published an interesting article this week that shows a map from “AirDNA”, a company that tracks and analyzes short-term rentals on platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. For us here in Montana, I’m hearing it might get cloudy for a minute that day 😂
Film recommendation: The Shift
We’ve been wanting to watch this movie for a while. Neal McDonough (pictured) is one of my favorite actors, especially in a villain role (which he seems to do a lot of these days). We paid the $12 to stream the Angel Studios app for a month, which gave us access to stream The Shift. We really enjoyed the movie. Kept us guessing, plus some great acting. Here’s the trailer.
Words to wrap up
"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
- Theodore Roosevelt
Missed you last week. Happy Spring!
