Temporary Email Address
I use this tool so much, I’m actually surprised it’s taken me until issue #22 to include it!
You know those times when you go to a website to download a resource, or sign up for something, and they ask for your email address? Sometimes that’s fine, but other times you don’t want to give them your address, especially the times you KNOW this is a one-time thing. That’s where TempMail comes in. When you go to the site, it generates a temporary email address for you, along with the inbox for that address. The address is then deleted 1 hour later!
This has saved me from a lot of junk mail. Check it out!
Book Review: Covert Cows and Chick-fil-A by Steve Robinson
I recently have been consuming quite a bit of content on Chick-fil-A’s culture as they repeatedly get voted as the #1 fast food chain for their service, and I’m curious how they did that. This book was written by their former Chief Marketing Officer and is a pretty fascinating read into how the restaurant that made “My Pleasure” famous came to be.
A few highlights for me:
“I want people to discover what we believe because of how we treat them” – LOVE THIS! This applies to so many situations in life. I couldn’t agree more.
Question: What are people discover about what you believe, by the way you treat them?
“When a new store opens, people camp outside the night before to be among the first 100 customers because those customers receive free Chick-fil-A for a year.”

Second-Mile Service
Emotional Connections Marketing
If you build a great brand, three good outcomes will occur:
People will come more often
They’ll pay full price, because you’re delivering value beyond just the functional benefits
They’ll tell others about their experience with your brand
Interesting note: studies say that people tell others about a good experience exponentially more versus a bad experience!
A customer helped us understand that service is the way you deliver the meal – the presentation, the consistency and the quality. Hospitality is how you add value after the meal has been delivered – the second mile.
If you are in the customer service business (and who isn’t, really) or want to learn more about the history of Chick-fil-A, this one’s worth a read.
100 non-photoshopped files
In the ever-increasing world of AI-generated content, it’s becoming harder and harder to know what’s real and what isn’t. That’s why I love this collection so much. Some great photos here!
AI-ify your doodles!
Speaking of AI-generated content, Stable Diffusion just launched Stable Doodle, a free website that converts simple sketches into detailed art using generative AI. It’s addictively fun. Here’s a super quick doodle with the prompt “guy”.
Words to wrap up:
